If you look at my senerio on my thread, the blue still shows meaning water in the stern. Also, the bulkhead was just about gone. Repairs look to be done as best possible. My stern was still down and full of water. Not what I call a trimmed sub. Therefore, submerging is death in this instance. If my stern was up and sub in trim, periscope depth would be possible. I would not go much deeper than that. For a bit of realism, if the sub is hit, there is not a good chance you will fix it to original form and strength. That would seem very unrealistic to me anyway.
