I have yet to see any of my crew like this, even near the Celebes.
The reason SH4 is so buggy is the time spent on this feature. They actually coded the game so it can tell (based on your HD temp files, browsing history, etc) if you like that sort of thing. If it decides you do, presto, topless guys on deck!
