You sound very disillusioned mate  I hope you know that you and the rest of the modders have turned this game into something very good indeed. Speaking as a bloke that went back and played a stock game of SH3 after having GWX installed(long story, involved not reading the manual  ) I am amazed at how basic it seems in comparison. No disillusionment at all. Just reality. Melnibonian and Pablo summed it up very nicely.
It's simply much easier for us to track "real" problems if they are all in one place. Threads titled "Why does my game crash?" with no reference to GWX will essentially get overlooked.
