Default One of those moments...

After my first career got caught in some sort of loop after five patrols, always assigning me the same patrol area, I decided to retire and start a new career in the same year as my previous one ended. I took command over the Wahoo, a fact that to some extent helped me get over my irritation at the loop-bug or whatever it is. Orders for the first patrol; East China Sea. Not an easy assignment, but if Wahoo can't do it, no boat can. I plotted my course, rang up full speed ahead to shorten the travel time to Midway a bit. I selected bridge view just to check on the sea state and was just about to turn on the time compression when I realised it was a full moon out. The rays were reflecting of the almost blank sea, small bow waves slushing over the boat as we made our way north-westwards. I'm not saying it was a poetic or profound moment in any way, but it made realize how immersive these games can be at times. I kept sailing like this, in real-time, for almost 20 minutes before I decided that enough was enough and finally turned TC on. With a few more patches this game will never leave my hard drive.
