Situation: 52nm off east coast of England, near Hartlepool. I'm near the edge of the minefield (at least, I HOPE it's the edge

), as I know from a minor encounter with one of the mines - luckily I was too deep for it to do any serious damage. There is a large convoy on it's way, been tracking it since it came out of the Channel. It will be at my position in around 4 hours if everything goes right. The water is pretty deep here, but the weather is just too good - and daylight has just broken (jun 17th, 1940).
That means I will have to attack submerged - but how to avoid the #### mines??? Or should I withdraw and try to time a night surface attack?
Or give up this convoy, and go find some action N of Ireland?
What would you do?
