But, if the price was already artificially high (Iraq/Iran instability etc), and the price fell, you would surely resume your previous level of consumption. A much easier way of reducing the amount of gas used would be to increase the price.
Sure it might work, but it wont. Gas companies (Eexon, Mobil, BP, etc.) still want their money. Someone will come along with an insainly low price, and the cycle continues.
