I'm sure you know my fav team, the Indianap...., er, Oakland Raiders! Don't support them, though, unless you are a masochist! :rotfl:

I grew up in the East Bay in the 60's so it's the once & future Oakland Raiders here. Saw them lose to Green Bay in Super Bowl 2 on TV. Was in the Med when we beat Minnesota in 77 & worked in Oakland when we won in 80 & 84. Met Jim Plunkett at Marine World one day. How far the mighty have fallen. First round draft pick<shudder>.
I heard they were bringing back Art Shell as coach but here in minor league ville it's not such a big deal. I actually was at the snow game in Denver in, I believe, 1995 when the hated Denver Broncos skunked us. I was one of the few to wear Silver & Black in Mile High that night so the crowd wanted to kill...me. Then I reminded them of the 65 tons of weapons grade uranium & plutonium sitting over there at Rocky Flats & they left me alone.
I actually would have thought Uncle Neal would have gone for Dante Pastorini & the Houston Oilers. As far as the Raiders sucking goes, the biggest mistake Al Davis made when he moved to LA was not calling them the Watts Raiders. Think about it. The Collosseum is on the north side of Watts & Watts & Oakland are both predominantly black working-class towns. Has Al called them the Watts Raiders, they would have sold out the collosseum every year & it would have been truly dangerous for opposing fans to show up for a game.
