Won't help this time matey because being such a grognard I play with sh3commander's optional sabotage/malfunction and guess what happened when I loaded sh3 next time round? You guessed it. My range was seriously affected by some sort of malfunction. I checked this using TimeTraveller's crush depth doodad and sure enough range was brought down from 13,500 nm to 6,600nm!
Annoying but realistic.
Makes the game so much more challenging hehe.
