The history of ships names Enterprise has always fasinated me, and yes that even carries in to Star Trek.
Somewhat off Topic:
Here's a fact most are not aware of. Because of the demand from Star Trek fans to name the 1st Space Shuttle Enterprise it was so done.
What the Star Trek fans were not informed of was that the 1st Shuttle was to be the Trainer with no engines and only a full size glider and fly piggy back (now on display). NASA originally wanted to name the 2nd Shuttle (1st to fly) Enterprise. Doh

Hi GSpector. No, unfortunately I am not playing SH4 yet. The game I was playing is called
War in the Pacific by Matrix Games. It's an extremely detailed strategy game that allows you to play the entire length of the Pacific War as the Allies or the Japanese. It's unbelievable how much detail is in the game. Every sub, aircraft, ship, ground unit and base that ever existed is modelled in the game. I would recommend it to anyone interested in the Pacific War. The game is available as a digital download with no online activation required. And no, I don't work for Matrix Games.
