This was long overdue. We need a target date to leave Iraq, maybe it will give an increased sense of urgency to the Iraqi government and US authorities, that's really the best we can hope for right now. Its time to bring them home, for good. It seems that the vast majority of the American people share that opinion, and if the administration vetoes the bill...
All I can say is don't be surprised if an override is attempted, because there are plenty of Republican congressmen that will likely realize that their political future might be tied to this bill.
