Didn't realise I was sailing into a noob minefield with my original question. Point(s) taken, apologies for not reading the manual (again) first and then asking questions later.
I'd just like to say that I've been overwhelmingly impressed with the mod community surrounding SH3, especially in the development of The Grey Wolves, and my sincere thanks go out to everyone involved for making it happen.
I shall now quietly disappear to my cabin and rtfm.
