I don't really know if I would agree with that, because I think it would have been quite difficult for a woman to command a boat with 50 men on board. Also, there is the danger aspect, I know you have women soldiers today, but imagine being inside a metal tube 500 feet underwater with depthcharges dropping all round you that is scary, I just don't think the average woman, despite equal rights and all that would be up to it. I know I wouldn't. Then again... how many of the boys here think they could cope in a U-boat?

I would dare say that soiled undergarments would be my answer to depth charges.
Claustrophobic comes to mind when I think of being under the water and not allowed to come up for hours on end. I have not played 100% no outside views yet because not seeing the DD circle and just looking at the 1st officer with that crap eating grin on his face would make me go a little nuts
