Cripes! that could be a number of things!
knowing the 1.02 patch will only install on stock GWX, it can't be the GWX & unusual that the patch would cause it, if you have other mods enabled with JSGME I would suggest removing them, starting a campaign, saving and loading - a pain I know but maybe a mod doesn't like the new patch.
May be worth testing anyway.
