When you have the ship in your scope sights, click on the SHIP tag on the notepad. This will take you to the correct page of the recognition manual  |
This isnt exactly true. You have to first identify the ship before it will do that. You cannot just put the crosshairs on a newly sighted ship and click the word "ship" in the notepad and have it work. At least mine wont. |
OK I see what your problem is. You're using manual targeting and no-contact updates isnt it? In that case I'm affraid you have to flip through the manual on your own, as it is part of the realism settings
