In some of the videos posted, the sonar was visible and AFAIK it was also mentioned the sonar had the ability to ping and there would be a sonar to detect mines.
I don't know, if it acutally had a screen.
AFAIK in some dev-Q&A, it was also mentioned, both sonar and radar were fully operational just like the original at the given times.
