Instead of the distributor alone servicing each recipient, under BitTorrent the recipients each also supply data to newer recipients, thus significantly reducing the cost and burden on any given individual source as well as providing redundancy against system problems, and reducing dependence upon the original distributor.

Basically, you can stop/start downloading whenever you want to and not loose any d/l progress. I use a small program called uTorrent - http://www.utorrent.com/. This will just sit in your task bar working away without bothering you.
Danlisa speaks the truth...visit www.utorrent.com and download this tiny program. Then when you've installed it, visit the GWX thread and Mods folder at the top of this thread and you will find a torrent link for GWX. Click on the torrent and it will ask you to save the file to disk. either save it to the desktop or create yourself a folder for all of your torrents. This download will take a couple of seconds at most, but it won't be the actual program, it just tells Utorrent what files to look for. click on this file and the fun begins...utorrent will start up and ask you where to save the files, and once you have indicated a folder, the d/l begins. Pay attention to the number of seeders, as this tells you how many people are sharing files with you (obviously, the more the better). Also your download speed tells you if the files are streaming in slowly or just being gobbled up by your computer. Time remaining is pretty obvious and will give you an idea of when you can hope to fire up GWX....

good luck and I hope this helps.
