Thats the discussion. If we are given a figure that is exact, it is not realistic. My thoughts were just a best guess response from engineer. You as the captain make you best decision on this. If I know the hull is at 10%, I will know a kid with a straw and a spit ball of paper is going to sink me. If I know the hull is in 'fair shape', the possiblity of water breaching is a very real matter. It is up to me to decide how deep to go at that point. Either we make it or I end up killing all crew.
