I don't know if you have ever been around a harrier but let me describe it for you.
It is mind numbingly loud. I've been around a good share or airplanes in my day and I can assure you that nothing, I mean nothing can compair to the noise that a harrier can put out! |
How about standing under the wing of a B-52 bomber for shade at a Blue Angels air show while the Blue Angels, in FA-18 Hornets, fly low over the field? The vibrations were so awesome I can still feel them to this day even 17 years after it happened.
The A-10 is my grandson's favorite plane ... He's 16 and wants to be a fighter pilot someday. Never break anyone's bubble ... just let them find the sweet spot.
