1) I've fixed the SS-N-27 and SS-N-16 problems for the next version (available today, hopefully).
2) Aircraft have FLIR and other visual detection gear that allows them to see shallow submarines in bad weather and at night. The fact that DW failed to model this correctly produced the absurd situation where a submarine could be directly under a helo or aircraft with all it's mast up, and not be detected visually. This was simply wrong, and has been corrected. The detection ranges for submerged submarines decreases significantly at night or in bad weather. The actual depth at which individual submarines can be detected, depends on their height.
