I´m quite sure, from my small experience, that the game doesn´t accept collision "kills" as a complete goal. I´ve just played a mission downloaded from subguru´s ("Caper Focus", perhaps?) and I rammed one of the ships I was supposed to kill with my OHP. Didn´t get credit for that...
