Before you chase after the Moon.tga file, is the moon phase error always 13 days, or was it 13 days only on June 6, 1940?

If the problem is a consistent 13 day (1/3 phase) offset from the beginning of the war until the end of the war then modifying the moon.tga file will help, but if there a fundamental flaw in the way SH3 calculates what the moon phase should be then I don't think modifying the graphics will help.

I'm not sure, but i've checked the first time on 29-05-1940 game time to see if there's any chance that there'll be new moon soon, because the moon was only half visible, I thought okay, I'm not going to chase that convoy for 8 days, and commenced my first attack... I sunk 3 ships and lost contact after depth charge attacks that were going on for hours. When I got rid of the destroyers I've decided to patrol the BF11 grid sunk some shipping and then wanted to continue to a CF grid, then had a contact in heavy fog with a large freighter, which I put 2 torps in. Just before he sunk the weather changed from heavy fog and rain, to no fog no rain, and I could see the full moon, that was on the 6th of June. Now I know that the half of the moon that was visible before on the 15th of May was the left half, what I don't know is, is that the 1st quarter or the 3rd quarter(?), but I guess it's the 1st since roughly a week after that I got full moon.

I guess I'll make some checks with multiple careers to see if the difference is constant over the whole course of the war or if SH3 is just calculating it wrong...
