Because if you purchase an upgrade version of Windows Vista to upgrade XP, you will no longer be able to use that version of XP. Either on another system, or as a dual-boot option. The key will be invalidated, preventing activation. |
mmm Not quite true, I got the upgrade disk since it was half the price as normal vista. It asks you for a XP disk to confirm you have it, BUT it also offers you the option of a full install, Hence I now have a Duel boot system with my old XP and New Vista so i can check games and drivers as it goes, at the mo not many probs and oh yes, Check my new post as i have discovered how to install SH3, patched to 1.4b and with Sh3 commander and GWX running, it looks and Runs great.
