Let me add my voice to the fray and give you a "welcome aboard" from the Old Man of the Moderators.

You will do great.

Where I have seen moderators go off the rails on other forums is when they start thinking they are "Community Leaders" and try to run the community they way they think it should be run.

In reality the job of a Moderator is more akin to the job of a janitor.

All you have to do is keep the place neat and tidy and, once in a while, quietly take out the trash.

Get to work!
