Frankly I am a bit troubled by the amount of damage caused by the torp. that hits the Kongo class BB. A BATTLESHIP is hit by a single torp. and it basically bursts into flame and sinks? And, the explosion sets fires all along the ship - even tho' later in the trailer we see that the hit was aft of the X turret. Doesn't look too accurate to me.
Let's hope that this was "jazzed up" for demo purposes.

I don't think you could even sink a
WWI-era battleship with a single torpedo. There's a reason why they put anti-torpedo bulges over those ship's vitals, along with protective bulkheads for the ammunition magazines and multiple watertight compartments. There's also a good reason why they didn't put a big tank full of explosive gasoline in the middle of the ship, and put the magazines
inside the hull.
Anyway, I think the battle being recreated in this trailer is the Battle of Samar. At about 3:20 you can see the escort carrier
St Lo exploding after being hit by a kamikaze.
