So the boat has changed but not the number.
Can you change the U number via the SH3Cmdr interface? You should be able to randomise it or choose your own, when you're in port/docked. 
I think that as SH3Cmdr applies extra/new U numbers it now has priority over SH3's method of assigning them.

Two things:
- Boat numbers don't change when changing boat types - they stay the same (an SH3 thing)
- SH3Cmdr doesn't interfere with the number SH3 allocates, however it does allow you to override the SH3 generated number...but this must be done manually by the user. But in doing so, SH3Cmdr provides more control by allowing you to limit the number used to actual numbers for that type and Flotilla. |
I did that one time, but apparently SH3C thought because I changed the number I actually got a new boat. Not a biggie but a little bit confusing.
