Short version, huh? Yeah, I know the theatrical release was only about 150 minutes, but if you haven't seen the 292-minute uncut version you're really missing out.
I have a copy of the book that I really enjoyed. There are a couple of scenes that were left out of the movie, and probably for the best simply because they are so powerful.
