What is really interesting about Das Boot(I have the directors cut) is that there really is no decernible plot to speak of but it grabs and holds your attention for over 3 hours. Now that is a darn good movie to do that. What really sucks is the boys make it through all the crap on patrol and bite the bullet in their own port
. Man what a bummer because after 3 hours watching the crew you kind of find they are likable characters.
