And I'm running a 1x patrol in Dec '39 now, I'll try the manual moving around in the sub today. I've done it from time to tme but not exclusively.
But what's the big deal about the side shortcut bar...can't you just not use it if you want to move around the ship manually?

its 1 thing to have them there and not use them its a reaction to head right for them as soon as somthin happens in game---------- and another not havin at all --I like the game better without them -even without them shortcuts abound but at least it makes the player take steps and have to think instead of just --click--
