I learned along time ago to NOT talk about what I do with girls I didn't know well. When a girl used to ask me what I did, I'd say, "I'm a protein biochemist. I study deamidation.." and at this point I'd be getting a blank stare. And shortly after that they'd be walking away.

I find that Introducing myself as Kriegsmarine Kapitanleutnant of U-48 stationned out of Lorient, France and responsible for over 20 000tonnes of allied tonnage sunk fails to impress as much at cocktail parties as i had hoped for.
