- As for sounds, I see 2 possibilties:
a) the sound in SH3 is *highly* directional, sometimes by turning around you'll hear the effect
b) you have real problems with sound, unfortunately I can't tell you much here except to make sure you have the latest drivers for your sound-card or (if on-board sound) chipset

Maybe the start problem is related to a wrong dll version, but without error message it's hard to give a solution... . As for the failing uninstall, it sounds as though the registry is a little screwed up . I don't see many options here except for a system restore to a point where it still worked, or a complete re-install . Maybe someone else has another idea?

1) no, the dll errors appears after installing GWX mod.
2)i noticed that personally..but thx again.
3) a) that's not the case, i don't hear sounds at all of random things.
3) b) sure i already have 'em
4) the error message is "application error - cannot load library 1480"..or something like this but library 1480 is there for sure..but i don't know what it is...
5) as i said i used many times a restore point of the entire system, but the problem is still there, when i install SH3 and then GWX i cannot unistall the game..it says error 1604.
6) i use Registry Mechanic and Crap Cleaner, and they are useful but not billgateshands..

to bigboywooly: i did it all, u don't even imagine the number of times...
