hope that helps im pretty sure it was used by the company to do scans and tests while they were beta testing it.
edit* reference boards are good to overclock and are usually made with a little bit more higher quality material so the reviewers can overclock it better thus giveing a better rating thus more sales for company. so overlock it if u want.
