Nope. BMW never built fighter planes but they built ENGINES for aircraft during the war. Mainly radial engines like the ones used for the Ju52/3m.

BMW even today understands itself as an engine manufacturer who also happens to produce cars around the engines
However before they started with cars they only built engines.

BMW is short for "Bayerische Motorenwerke" which translates quite literally to "Bavarian Engine Factories"
