You could also try the famous "mrchris-move", if all your hope is out.
Here is ho you do that:

1: Full speed ahed (submerged)
2: SURFACE + BLOW BALLAST!
3:Get some suicidal crew members to man the deck gun, and fire at the DD's
4: Go out in a blaze of glory.
