Others have prolly already experienced this: when you're hit while firing the flak, and probably deck, gun the screen blurs.

Or you can always look at it this way: the screen blurs when your outside and take a hit not because the boat is vibrating, but because the percussion of the blast rattles your brain and blurs your vision.
Not something that would happen if you were inside.
