A rotten body - problem for month or two for maximum.
False mission and career report - life lasting problem. Unforgetable.

PS You could always store the bodies in emptied external torpedo tubes till you reach the base.

Or take a finger of each one dead, whatever, and bury the rest. A finger should be enough evidence for BdU...
