You have to ask yourself these questions MM

1, Is there any point as none of the boats ingame had those extra tubes
2, The game only recognises a certain amount of torpedos then gets screwed if you add any more

IF it was possible to create a TBM then it may be usefull to have those tubes loaded with the mines for minelayig duties
you know way back in the beginning I wondered if a mine was a deployable weapon, has this been done..

as to the current issue its not something I have my heart really set on but when I was researching type XI it had an undetermined number of tubes
I'm afraid I left Richard Worths Battlefleets of world war 2 in the car
but as I recall 6-10 , I also had given some thought that if I could actually hook them up and get them working then it wouldnt take much to put in an american sub that is playable, although tubes would have deutsch torpedos
ive already played a type IX as a playable Brit sub and Sailed around with an RN Battle sqadron as part of the escort in a surface combat, (tres mucho Fun!!!!!) but seriously

I have a further sort of spiritual thought for us as modders.
although many among us whom have worked on developing
the deep mods strive legitimately for authenticity I have a
thought. this is a "Mod Workshop" and prior to a month ago
I had never made a mod as a matter of fact I had only ever
even heard of mods on my last game before sh3 , Freelancer
the first game I ever played a mod in. in the last month I have
as you know BBW run wild with experiments and wild ideas but
in the main some good has come from it.

I encourage every one I know to read whatever it is they like to
read whether its Kipling or archie comics or harlequin romances
because they will never learn to love reading the classics until they
learn to read.

The skills I have learned in making my attempts at the River FF and my Type IX-XI Chop shop jobbie helped me learn what it took to create and
release mbfl mod, which I might point out is a mod not for players but for
modders.

So I offer this I think that exploring the envelopes of possiblities has the potential to benefit all purist and pariah, I have read quite a few comments
where people will say, it never existed in real life, well niether did a drop down shedule of countries entering the war and there was no map in 1939
that showed the areas of air cover in 1944 but that doesnt prevent those things from being good additions, besides the subsim community is a community like no other on the internet, the calibre of minds here is great
but as a community I feel we should embrace diversity its ok for each of us to have a way of preference to play, whats wrong with differeces between us. GWX and NYGM and so on should indeed be competetive but not Rivals
as such. when I play campaign I like to play pure but I totally love modelling
in single missions both accurate and wildly inaccurate things, I enjoy the best of both worlds and If you enjoy one way or the other its a safe bet we are all online here together as a subsim community because theres no one within twenty miles of any of us that holds the fascination or understands whats so Cool about it. The subsim Unlike the vast majority of online communities has something almost no other online community has " A History" when we strive for correctness and purity within the historical
model, we do an important service to living history in a way that books archives and movies cant, but if we are going to learn to make things right
then we have to learn to make things first.

MM ( this is meant to be pleasant not harsh I hope it doesnt come off wrong) Im just saying that diversity is strength and there arent that many of us and if someone learns how to make a working fido or deployable mine or deliverable commando team when they're a pariah if we're a community then the benefit works for the purists too. who cares if other people play a way different from the one we like as long as our friends like to play the same way we do, you know I still havent played online but I notice that if you cant find a game playing your way you can always host one.
