I got very lucky in there. I think the reason it went well was that I stayed silent from the start and did'nt reload afterwards. It was very tempting, as there was so much shipping moored at the dock that 2 Type IX's would have run out of torps!
Running silent so long got me into a firing position after dawn though, I really would have felt safer in the dark. My route in was from the east, then south of the carriers plotted position and out via the west using the north of the 2 passages.
