I was reading somewhere that the FIDO/acoustic torpedo was not modelled into the game by the developers because the uboat would not have a chance with it. Seems kind of stupid to me because in all reality, they usually did not have a chance when surfaced...ie, .50cals firing, rockets, DC followed by a FIDO...this all coming from one Devastater. If that didn't work then a sonorbouy was dropped until relief with more goodies to drop showed up.
The planes are pretty good in the game. We have hunter-killer groups...CVE with DD screening. We have some planes now with rockets. The radar is pretty good. Are butts are in for a really bad time as it is.
Can someone create the FIDO? I have seen some work on it but the creater had to stop for some reason. Can anyone pick up where he left off? I can't because anything beyond pushing the on/off button is out of my league
