Well, in this instance a mod maker need only state something like:
Quote:
Compatibility:- Tested and verified compatible with X, Y and Z.
- Not tested with A, B, C or any other mod. Use at own risk.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR USERS OF X
This mod changes...etc etc ...

Another thing which would help is an identifier in the thread title, like "[MOD RELEASE]". This would highlight the thread against all the "How do I..." threads that exist.
