I was in the Channel on June 5-7, 1944.
****ing incredible. I can't even begin to describe what it was like (aside from a substantial slowdown).
In order to avoid detection by the British DDs, I would bottom my boat at times. Other times I would head to within 3km of the French coast to keep away from them.
But by the time I reached my position (I entered from the Atlantic), I was near Sword on the afternoon of the 6th. If I wasn't so afraid of traveling at 20m in order to fire a torp from my boat (according to .cfg files, the VIIC has a max firing depth of 20m), I'd have gone up to cause trouble. But I just spent my time with the Free Cam, taking a look at the pretty.
