To all the Noobies: Sorry to be abrupt (not nice) but have come a lot further than the obvious answers given!
I went to Wazoos site & he lists the mods to be installed to use his tutorial but I don't want to do this, the nav map is cluttered enough & the mods are no longer available anyway (well I don't think they are) but as I said in the post It is far too dificult to me to be able to do all that he says in 3 minutes, I'm no mathematition
But there
must be an easier way, U-boat commanders must have been pretty darn smart to know all the things required to run a U-boat!

trying to learn another technique, & if I ever work this out, I'll write a Tutorial in "Laymans terms"!!!
