In RL, I still play vinyls!
I bought a new grammophone (Technics-based) 10 years back - together with a couple of spare-needles - so I could keep playing my vinyl-collection.
Which is still expanding, btw.
For example, last year, I bought an lp of Marlene Dietrich, called "Das war mein Miljöh", filled with her great songs.
In the same store (1000's of 2nd hand lp's in classic/vintage/oldies/pre- and post WW2, all in top-condition, filling 2 entire 15m walls!!
), I found an lp of Count Basie, with great big-band jazz songs, recorded between '42 and '46.
And guess what woke up this newly found love for oldies....a grammophone-file for SH3, called
Ultimate Gramophone Pack - 150+ tunes and broadcasts.
There are some really nice songs in that pack...I like a female voice, with jazz, like Ella Fitzgerald. Zarah Leander is beautiful too.
I hate Edith Piaf, though.
When I hear her, I want to go back to my more recent music, heavy/progressive/alternative rock LOL
I think the grammophone option is a great tool for roleplaying.
