Yeah, I know....I cheated, to get better equipment for 1st patrol.
But the T-IV's were there anyway, without cheating!

But the thing is...I always started my SH3-careers in '39....with either Kiel or Wilhelmshaven as homebase.
The result was, that I never reached the later years of the war - I never got further than '41, because I either died, or lost interest because of other games, but only to return to SH3 again and again...and restarting in '39, lol.
It also meant, that my enemies were always weaker in those early years...plus that I never got the chance to try new equipment - like radar, acoustic- and pattern-running torps, schnorkels etc - or to try later Uboat-designs, like the TypeIX-series and the incredible TypeXXI.

So when GWX was released, I took a different approach, and used SH3Commander, to pick Bergen in Norway, in June '42.
It will be my homebase untill I (hopefully) reach the end of the war in May '45.
This base has all the Uboat-types and equipment I want to try available, spread over the 3 years to come.

I consider myself an experienced virtual Uboat Kaleun, and that's why I don't feel bad about the renown-cheat I did.
I just wanted to start with what I had been working for in the early years of the war.
