It's been done at least twice for SC.
http://www.subguru.com/missions/spookssn.zip http://www.subguru.com/missions/SSN_missions.ZIP. DW has the capability of importing SC missions. You will have to edit the scenarios that have platforms that aren't in DW, however, since these were made for SCX. (assuming whatever errors the differences cause don't prevent the importation in the first place)
I've played one of those but I don't remember which. It wasn't challenging because the enemy is consistently inferior. But, if immersion is your thing, it was very well written and felt realistic.
