Last night I got my first convoy attack in GWX. The Flower in front of it (the only escort) detected me and ran straight for me. I was at 15m, and lined up perfectly for the whale factory ship, so i stayed put. When the flower passed me overhead, he dropped a dc, which exploded instantly because he was right over me, blowing off my flak gun, and his racks!
Naturally, I surfaced, used my 105 to great effect in bringing the flower down, and decimated the convoy
Great partol, because 2 days before the convoy, I got a flattop carrier moving in a taskforce with 2 fiji's and a few destroyers....
