Open your control panel, set the view to "
Icons" as usual.
Then on top, where it says:
File | Edit | View | Favorites | Tools...
Click on "Tools", after that choose "
Folder Options..." after choose the "
View" tab, then click on the "
Apply to All folders". It should stay from now on. Afterwards if you don't like the other folder to be on "
Icon" views, just repeat this, the Control panel will stay on "Icon" view.
I have everything set to "List" view, but my control panel is set to Icons, if it works for me, it should work for you.
