In the daily questions on the official SHIII site, one of the SHIV dev team members has confirmed that there will not be any Japanese submarines in the 'release version' of the game. This appears to be the final word on it.

However, I wonder why he specified 'release version.' :hmm: Was he talking about future mods, or an expansion pack?
