I did in fact "scroll" thru all my frequency scale settings, in case sonar was picking up something on another frequency.
The "contact" stayed on the display but nothing appeared on the waterfall display at any frequency.

I would also agree that you are seeing a biologic on the BB, which doesn't produce a NB line.
