I once tried to simulate

The Sims. I built a long, narrow house with eight bunks in front, a really cramped dining room, one bathroom, no shower, a really minimalist kitchen, and two tiny cubbyholes where my sims could sit down and listen to music when they got bored. I also built a "control room" with a pinball machine and a couple ancient computers, and a little fenced-in yard where my crew could go out and paint. After two days, my kitchen had caught on fire three times, trash was piling up everywhere, and everyone hated each other, kept pissing on the floor, and were constantly getting into fights.
Not a particurly disciplined bunch.
