I haven't upgraded any part of my laptop at all, as it's primary purpose is not for gaming. When I am at home instead of at university, I use my best desktop for high-end games but for months at a time I stuck with the laptop so maybe I should upgrade it later. Probably won't though.
Anyway, I doubt that simfan or anyone else here would have the same level of trouble running SHIII on a laptop/notebook as I have. Just posting my experiences for consideration.
